Another word for divine guidance is supernatural help. Divine guidance is the privilege of operating under the ability and authority of the holy spirit.
What Does the Bible Say About God’s Guidance
In numbers 9:17-23, the Israelites obeyed divine instructions to travel with the cloud. If the cloud starts moving even at the night, they would immediately start moving. They exhibited full obedience to the command of God.
The Israelites had complete trust in the promise of the creator to reach their promised land. They did not argue on why they had to follow the cloud. Even when the cloud stayed at a spot for months, they persevered and believed in the capability of God.
Today, every Christian with their hearts must have complete trust in the lord. God leading your path is the best way to live. At every moment, he will tell you which way to go.

Sometimes, God works through circumstances. God is aware of the problems that you are currently going through. These challenges test you, for they are required for you to get to the next level. You must be aware that the lord does not allow you to face trials beyond your capabilities.

Inability to seek god’s direction for your life puts you on the track of non-success. The Bible assures you in Proverbs 10:22 that the blessings of God added no sorrow.

- Cast all your cares and burdens upon on the lord.

According to 2 Timothy 2:19, living Christ-like requires that you flee from iniquity in any way. Your daily activities must give glory to God at all times.
When your life pleases God, he will never leave nor forsake you as assured in the scripture in Hebrews 13:5.

The holy spirit dwelling inside of you is not enough to have access to supernatural help. God dwells in your spirit and not the body. You must be able to know when the holy spirit speaks to your heart.

The indwelling of The Holy Spirit
The first key to walking in divine direction is to have the spirit of God dwell inside of you. If you have the personal indwelling of the holy spirit, you will always get guidance from God.
Depend on God’s Wisdom
You must, first of all, decide to depend on the wisdom of God. It does not imply in any way that you would not engage in cognitive activities. Not at all.
Depending on the wisdom of God means that you would allow the scripture and holy spirit to be the pilot of your life. In certain situations, your knowledge may fail you. But the wisdom of Christ does not have any deficiency.
The first step to depend on the wisdom of God is to study the scripture. Not reading the bible but spending quality time to understand the word of God. From this very moment, learn to depend on God’s wisdom.
Total Obedience to The Holy Spirit
You can only enjoy the benefits of divine guidance when you obey the instructions of God in totality. Like the Israelites, you must heed to the voice of God. Be ready to obey God.
When the lord says that you should perform a task, do it. You do not need to give an excuse on why you cannot do it. It is important to note that God will not give you a task he knows that you cannot handle. He does not work that way. He bestows the divine ability to all his children.

Desiring and asking for divine guidance is necessary for Christians on their way to the top. Here are prayers for guidance in decision making.
- Lord, give me the zeal to yield to your instructions.
- Father, take away anything that will make me disobey you.

- God, what do you want me to do right now? Show me the way to my destiny.
