Walking in spiritual authority or divine ability is living under the influence of God’s grace and unlimited favour. It means to have spiritual power and authority of God. Spiritual authority of the believer gives Christian the enablement to live a fruitful and prosperous life.
Understanding Spiritual Authority
The supremacy of God is boundless. His abilities are immeasurable. Walking in the power and authority of God is the mandate of every true believer.
The spiritual authority of the believer is a gateway to dominion. By default, God has given you the capability to overcome your challenges. But, this privilege is only available to Christians who follow the teachings of Jesus.
You would not be able to overcome difficulties in life if you fail to operate in divine authority. Exercising kingdom authority is the way to overcoming limitations.
Even as a believer, you would encounter challenges in various areas of your life. It could be health challenges, loss of a job, or instability in your marriage. You need to receive the capacity for divine settlement.

How does Divine Authority Work?
Let’s look at the verses of scripture on walking in the ability of God.
The requirements and benefits of walking in divine ability are in the scripture (Joshua 24:1-23)
In the passage, Joshua assembles all the tribes and leaders of Israel to the presence of God. The almighty began highlighting his blessings to the Israelites. He Reminds them of the privilege of walking in the power and authority of God.
In this bible passage, God emphasizes the requirement for walking in divine ability as being born again. Commit to God with sincerity and truth.
Compromise is why many Christians do not have spiritual authority and divine capacity. Serving another God is not acceptable. He is a jealous God. Believers must worship him in spirit and truth.
God can only give spiritual power and authority to Christians who are obedient to his word.

God’s Deliverance (Daniel 3:17)
The power and authority of God in the bible is in Daniel chapter three. Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego understood the potency and authority of God. They were confident to disobey King Nebuchadnezzar command. They knew the capability of God to deliver them from any evil circumstances.
Deliverance from bondage requires your total submission to the word of God. Readiness to stand firm to your Christian faith irrespective of the situation. God wants believers who will walk according to his footsteps.
When you put your trust in God, he will deliver you from any form of affliction. Never allow your faith to deviate from the radar of God.
Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego recognized a higher power.
Walk with the Lord. He will deliver you from any form of tribulation.
Divine Health (John 5:1-9)
For thirty-eight years, the impotent man at the pool of Bethesda could not receive his healing. He could not enter the pool of Bethesda to get his miracle. When he met with Jesus, he received healing through divine help. You need the power of God to enjoy divine health.
Divine health is the desire of every believer. All it takes is to allow the spirit of God to dwell inside of you. Light and darkness cannot mingle together.
When you encounter the power of God, you experience divine health. Trust the Lord today. He will heal you in the name of Jesus. Amen.
Answer to Prayers (Ephesians 3:20)
A prayer is an act by which we have a rapport with God. It is a privilege you have to communicate with the father.
God’s authority in your life gives you direct access to God. He recognizes and blessings his children.
Have a good relationship with God. He will meet every one of your needs.
Divine Assurance (Romans 4:21)
The assurance of God is authentic. God never goes back on his promise. He has assured every true believer a good life. Be patient. God will fulfil his promises for your life.
Divine Provision (Matthew 14:19)
Jesus feeding the multitude with five loaves of bread and two fishes is an incredible story. Who would have imagined such a ration of food would feed ten people? What Jesus had to do was give thanks to God.
It is a joyful experience to have God as your father. He never abandons his children at the time of their needs.
Though, it may seem like there is a delay. But, the slow down is not a denial. God works in his ways to bless his children. Whatever is your need, cast your burden upon him. God will meet you at the point of your needs.
The rule to enjoy divine provision is to be born again and have faith in God.
Freedom (2 Corinthians 3:17, Ephesians 3:12, Psalm 119:45)
Spiritual freedom is a state of having liberty from the oppression of the enemy. It takes the power of God to set yourself free from satanic prisons.
Walking in the power and authority of God gives you everlasting freedom.
Scriptures on the authority of the believer are in 2 Corinthians 3:17, Ephesians 3:12, Psalm 119:45. The revelation in 2 Corinthians 3:17 is obvious. You cannot experience bondage when the spirit of God is at work inside of you.
Help from Above (Mark 14:36)
In life, you will encounter overwhelming challenges. It will try to bring you down. The experience might be depression, experiencing loss or something else. At this stage, it may seem like giving up is the best option.
But, what you need to do is to cry out to God in prayer for help. The holy spirit will comfort and strengthen you.

Salvation
Grace is the power of God unto salvation – Romans 5:11. Being a Christian is an obligation to operate in divine authority.
You must set yourself apart from every form of uncleanliness. The holy spirit needs to dwell inside of you for you to operate in divine capacity.
Stay Under the Shadow of God
The scripture in Psalm 91:1 tells us we must all abide in the presence of God. Staying far away from God makes you vulnerable to the devices of the enemy.
Stay connected to the source to express divine power. Study the word of God and fellowship with other believers.
Fervent Prayer Life
How to exercise authority as a believer is through prayer? Prayer connects you with God. It is the way to show the life of a true believer.
When you pray for God’s help, he will answer you.
Prayer Point for Spiritual Authority and Power
- Father, give me the grace to do your will.
- By your authority, deliver me from the afflictions of my enemies.
- Father, give me the grace to know more of you.
- Lord, help me to walk in your footsteps and expectations.
- Father, fill me with your spirit. Let me have in your dominion.
- Lord, empower me for greatness. I want to fulfil your will for my life.
- Take away every sickness and disease in my life.
- Lord, help me to walk in your divine ability.
- Father give me the grace to live a righteous life.
