This is to inform all candidates who applied for admission into regular degree programs of Abia State University for the 2023/2024 academic session that application forms for the Post UTME screening exercise are now on sale online.

ABSU Post UTME Requirements

  1. Candidates who chose Abia State University as their 1st Choice, 2nd Choice, and those who did not choose the University in the UTME but want to change to Abia State University.
  2. Candidates who scored 140 and above in the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
  3. Candidates with the basic five O’level credit pass according to the University entry requirements.
  4. All Direct Entry candidates.

  1. Day 1: Wednesday, 9th August 2023
    • Faculty of Biological Sciences
    • Faculty of Physical Sciences
    • College of Medicine
    • Faculty of Health Sciences
    • Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences
  2. Day 2: Thursday, 10th August 2023
    • Faculty of Law
    • Faculty of Agriculture
    • Faculty of Economics & Management Sciences
    • Faculty of Social Sciences
  3. Day 3: Friday, 11th August 2023
    • Faculty of Education
    • Faculty of Engineering
    • Faculty of Environmental Studies
    • Faculty of Humanities

Please note that the screening exercises’ venue, including Law and Agriculture, will be at the main campus, Uturu, commencing at 10.00 am each day.

Procedures for ABSU Post UTME Registration

The following are the procedures to apply for Abia State University (ABSU) Post UTME;

  1. Candidates are expected to register for the screening exercise online by logging into https://portal.abiastateuniversity.edu.ng/Applicant/Form/PostJambFormInvoiceGeneration and making an e-payment of two thousand Naira (₦2,000.00) only, in any of the following Banks.
    • ABSU Micro-Finance Bank, Uturu
    • Eco Bank Plc
    • Zenith Bank Plc
    • Fidelity Bank Plc
    • Union Bank Plc
    • UBA Plc
    • Payment via bank debit cards
  2. Candidates who do not register for the Post-UTME screening exercise will not be considered for admission.
  3. Further details about the screening exercise can be obtained online at www.abiastateuniversity.edu.ng.
  4. Candidates are also advised to get the ABSU Official Past Questions and Answers.
    • This will help them prepare adequately for the aptitude Test.

The deadline for the sale of Application forms is Friday, 16th September 2022.

  1. Please sir I scored 175 in jamb can I apply for law?? If no can I apply for linguistics and communication studies and will there be a chance for me to switch from there to law

  2. Pls after generating invoice and paying the #2,000, what next… because I used web payt.that is paystack and I have received a confirmation via my mail that ABSU has received the payment.. WHICH I was giving an invoice number…what else am I to do? I’m I not to see a point where I’m to register my details. On the portal and print out the post utme form to have it handy..?

    Because, I can’t find such tab in the platform of the school site…pls help meee … plsssssssssssssss

    I want to know
    I have written Jamb but am writing NECO(results is not out yet ),I want to know if I should buy form now or after the results is out.
    If you can enlighten me more or what to do I’ll be glad.
