  8. Hello Sir, I’ve been going through this page and I find it fascinating. It’s all about you giving us some advice on what to do probably after school to save money for ourselves and I respect that. I’ve been contemplating what I’m going to do before I enter school but it seems I run out of ideas. My mom gave me some advice I should go and learn how to sell drugs in Pharmacy which I think it’s best for me now. But on the other hand, I’m not a Science Student, I’m a Social Science student ( Business Wise) but learning pharmacy I don’t think will be the best for me because I’m someone who has a great passion for business. Pharmacy is also a business, but I think you are an expert in this situation. Do you think I should go for the pharmacy job or I should try something else? Because I don’t think I might flow with them because I’m not into the science field. But I believe in myself I can do anything through Christ who consolidates me. But it all goes down to your conclusion. Your opinion matters and it’s also needed. I hope to hear a nice and encouraging reply from you, sir.
    Peace ✌️

    • Hello Conscience,

We are always ready and happy to serve you. It is our delight to know that you find our articles helpful.
The truth is that you mustn’t be a science student to sell drugs at the pharmacy. If you can view it from the point of business, you’ll certainly enjoy it. It’ll give you the needed experience in trading with people directly.
But besides that, you can also try learning a skill. Skills are very important in the world today. You can always be productive no matter where you are if you learn the right skill.

      Reply
      • Alright, thanks it means a lot I’m gonna put that into consideration, but do you think I should learn how to sell drugs or I should go for something else? I believe that there is no secret to success but working hard, dedicating and believing in God in achieving your dream. I think that’s the best for me, but what do you think?

I dont have any interest in handwork, I prefer digital skills. So I want to learn programming. Does it require me knowing all about computers?
And also after learning how can I let people know about it. I’m not so outspoken.

    Reply
    • Dear Hope,

Programming is a good skill and it involves good knowledge and application of codes. You don’t need a good knowledge of computers to start. You’ll learn what is needed as you proceed.
You can use platforms like Upwork and Linkedin to advertise your skill but knowing how to speak is needed to succeed in this world.

It all depends on how you can effectively manage your time. To those who are resilient and focused, the word “impossible” does not exist.

    • Dear Ola,

It’s not the multitude of people that matter in a business, it’s their uniqueness and creativity.
You can still choose a different skill but Graphic Design is quite good.

Which are you more passionate about? As much as learning a skill is good, the place of earning a B.sc should not be underrated.

You can take up photography as a side hustle in school. So I suggest you apply for admission and while you wait for the result, you can start off with acquiring the skill.

    • Hello Ablegod,

I hope you are having a great day.

Automobile repair and phone/laptop repairs are both lucrative skills.

Choosing either of the skills would depend on your interest.

Do you like to play with electronic gadgets, or are you fascinated by cars?

It would take a longer time and more money to learn automobile mechanics.

You will not regret learning automobile repairs if it is the skill you want to learn.

I advise you to go for either of the two interesting skills that align with your natural ability and strength.

Ask yourself this question, would I be the best phone/laptop repairer or the best automobile mechanic?

    • Hello Ogbebo,

It is nice to hear from you.

The first step is to find a professional wall painter or wallpaper installer at your location.

Then, you can negotiate the cost of learning the skill.

      I wish you success.

Tailoring is a lucrative skill to learn if you have a passion for fashion design.

Have you made your choice on whether to learn how to sew men’s or women’s clothes?

There is no need to be discouraged with learning house painting.

Meet with a painter at your location. Discuss with the person of your intention to learn painting.

I assure you that your weight is not a hindrance in any way.

    • Hello Hadiza,

It is nice to hear from you.

I hope things are great at your end.

Concerning your question, deciding the handwork to stick with can be difficult.

You say you have tried some handwork, which of them did you enjoy doing the most.

There is a hard work you would enjoy more and find fulfilment doing.

Sometimes, you may have to do a try-out of different handwork to know the one that suits your personality.

The question is what handwork do you enjoy that aligns with your natural ability.
