How to Calculate UNN Post UTME Aggregate Score (JAMB & O’level)

The Univerisity of Nigeria (UNN) Post UTME screening exercise for the 2022/2023 academic session shall be by assessing verified JAMB UTME, O/Level and Direct Entry results in place of the Post UTME CBT examination.

This post will show you how to calculate your UNN Post UTME aggregate using your JAMB score and O’level result (WAEC or NECO).

Let me know in the comment if you have any questions or need further assistance. I would love to assist you.

UNN Aggregate Score

Here is how to calculate your UNN Post UTME aggregate score using the 2016 formula.

Ratio: 60:40

  • 60% for JAMB
  • 40% for O’level

O’level Grade

  • A1 = 100 points
  • B2 = 90 points
  • B3 = 80 points
  • C4 = 70 points
  • C5 = 60 points
  • C6 = 50 points

Now let’s assume you are applying to study Medical Laboratory Science with a JAMB score of 280, and the following are your WAEC result grades;

Now multiply your JAMB score by 0.6, and add up to your O’level point aggregates.

  • Aggregate Score = (280 x 0.6) + (300 x 0.4)
  • Sum = 168 + 120
  • Total Aggregate = 288

I got 212 in jamb with Waec results as follows: marketing B3, Economics B3, Civic Education B2, English Language B3, Mathematics B2, Agricultural Science B2, Biology B3, Physics B3, Chemistry C4. A total aggregate of 251.2. It’s this aggregate good enough for medical laboratory sciences?

    • Nelson,

You have an excellent score in Accounting.

Also, being from Delta State gives you an added advantage over other applicants for Accounting.

    • Joshua,

There is no cause for alarm.

It means that UNN has not refreshed their Post UTME registration portal.

You will have to exercise more patience. It can take about two weeks.

    • Chinaza,

Your aggregate is quite low for Radiography.

But, it is possible to get admission depending on the cut off mark.

  8. Pls sir, I am combining two O’level (waec 2021 & 2022). In the former Waec, I had D7 in my Maths and made good grades in other subjects, while in the latter year I got B3, in Maths and good grades in other except Chemistry-D7.

How do I calculate such double sittings for Post utme??

    • Adegoke,

It depends on the performance of other students.

But there is a good chance you can get Radiography with your aggregate score but it may not be with the Merit list.

Good evening sir, please I would like to find out if it is the subjects we did in jamb that will also be used in WAEC to calculate the aggregate WAEC score (English, Literature, Government, C.R.S), if Post UTME examination will be conducted this year (2022/2023) and finally if you can gain admission with Post UTME aggregate score of 302 to study law in UNN
