FUTA Academic Calendar & Resumption Date 2020/2021

FUTA Students Begin Lectures on Monday, October 24, 2022.

The Senate of the Federal University of Technology Akure FUTA has approved a revised academic calendar to continue the 2020/2021 Academic Session.

Lectures leading to the completion of the First Semester resume on Monday, October 24, while students are expected on campus from Sunday, October 23, 2022.

The approval was given at a Special Meeting of the Senate held on Wednesday, October 19, 2022
We wish all students a safe trip back to campus .

MODIFIED ACADEMIC CALENDAR FOR UNDERGRADUATE STUDENTS – 2020/2021SESSION

First Semester

COMPLETION OF THE FIRST SEMESTER 2020/2021 ACADEMIC SESSION

  • Sunday, October 23, 2022 – Arrival of all Students
  • Monday, October 24, 2022 – Lectures Resume
  • Saturday, October 29, 2022- Lectures End for all Students
  • Monday, October 31 to Saturday, November 5, 2022 – Lecture Free Week
  • Monday, November 7, 2022 -First Semester Examinations Commence
  • Saturday, November 26, 2022 -First Semester Examinations End

TOTAL 5 WEEKS

Second Semester

SECOND SEMESTER 2020/2021 ACADEMIC SESSION

  • Monday, November 28, 2022 -The Registration Portal Opens
  • Monday, December 5, 2022 -Registration Continues & Lectures Commence
  • Monday, December 12, 2022 – Late Registration Commences
  • Monday, December 19, 2022 -Late Registration Ends
  • Friday, December 23, 2022, to Monday, January 2, 2023 – Christmas/New Year Break/mid Semester Break
  • Tuesday, January 3, 2023 – Lectures Resume
  • Saturday, March 4, 2023 – Lectures End
  • Monday, March 6 to Sat. March 11, 2023 – Lectures Free Week
  • Monday, March 13, 2023 – Second Semester Examination Commence
  • Saturday, March 25, 2023 – Second Semester Examination End
