The University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan, is officially inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates for admission into the School of Health Information Management (SHIM) for the 2026/2027 academic session.
Aspiring healthcare data professionals can now apply for either the National Diploma (ND) or Higher National Diploma (HND) programs, provided they meet the specified entry requirements.
Admission Requirements
National Diploma (ND)
- Apart from the JAMB result, applicants must have obtained the minimum entry requirement of five (5) credits at not more than two sittings in SSCE/GCE/WAEC/NECO from the same examination body in the following subjects:
- English Language
- Mathematics
- Biology
- Physics
- Chemistry
Higher National Diploma (HND)
Applicant must present their ORIGINAL CERTIFICATES:
- O’level result
- National Diploma or Professional Diploma in Health Information Management
- License Certificate
- Letter of completion of Industrial Training (IT)
- JAMB Admission Letter
Entrance Examination
The Computer-Based Test (CBT) for ND will be in:
- English Language
- Mathematics
- Physics
- Chemistry
- Biology
The Computer Based Test (CBT) for HND will be in:
- Health Records Management
- Anatomy & Physiology
- Clinical Coding
- Biostatistics
- Computer Science
- Health Planning Management
Method of Application
The application form is available beginning from Monday, 28th April, 2025, through the UCH SCHOOLS’ PORTAL: https://portal.uch-ibadan.org.ng
Interested individuals are to do the following:
- Visit the UCH schools’ portal on https://portal.uch-ibadan.org.ng and click the REMITA PAYMENT button to make payment.
- After successful payment, candidates are to sign up with his/her RRR, Email and Password used for the payment.
- Log in with your Email and Password to continue the registration process.
- Go to the portal on https://portal.uch-ibadan.org.ng and download the Applicant’s User Guide.
- Follow the instructions on the Applicants’ User Guide to input your data and submit your application online.
- Print 2 copies of your form and photocard and bring them to the examination centre on the day of the examination.
- Make a payment of another Five Hundred Naira (₦500.00) only into Health Information Managers Association of Nigeria, Account no: 0000207307, Union Bank, UCH Branch.
The screening exercise for the ND programme and HND entrance examination will be communicated to the candidates via their email address. Successful applicants will be invited for an oral interview at a later date through text messages and the School’s website.
