The Turkey student visa is your gateway to travel legally to Turkey and further your education.

You must have an international passport before you apply for the visa.
This passport must remain valid for at least three (3) months after the date you arrive in Turkey.
You must also present a copy of the data page of your passport and previously obtained visas if you have any.
It must have at least one page where the visa sticker or stamp would be placed.
You must provide two passport photographs that comply with the Turkey photo requirements.
These photos must measure 6cm by 5cm, and your face must be centred with a neutral expression.
Headgears are unnecessary except for religious purpose, and if that is the case, it must not cover your face.
The photo must be taken on a white background, and they need not be stapled on your application form.
Visa Application Form
You must download the visa application form and print it out.
After printing out the document, you are to fill it out, sign it and date it.
You must show that you have medical insurance.
It should cover health costs of at least €30,000 and be valid throughout your stay in Turkey.
You must present a police clearance certificate showing that you are law-abiding and have no criminal record.
Proof of Accommodation
You must show that you have a place to stay once you arrive in Turkey.
You can do this by booking a hotel and submitting a hotel reservation.
It must show the hotel’s full name, contact details, and entry and exit dates.
You can also get an invitation letter from a friend or family member living in Turkey.
You can present the hostel receipt if you stay in your school’s hostel.
Proof of Financial Ability
You must prove that you can support yourself throughout your stay in Turkey.
You must have at least €50 to cover your daily expenses.
You can prove this by presenting your bank statements for the past six (6) months or that of your sponsor if you have any.
Note that your sponsor must also provide a letter stating that they are willing to support you while you are in Turkey.
You must present your travel itinerary to the authorities, showing the details of your trip.
You must show that you will return to Nigeria once you are done with your studies.
You must prove that you have been accepted into an approved Turkish university to pursue a program.
This letter must state your program’s details, tuition, etc.
Proof of Paid Tuition Fee
You must show that you have paid for the program you wish to attend.
It shows that you are academically qualified to pursue your program in Turkey.
You must present a valid student ID card to prove you are a student.

- Complete the Application Form
Before completing the form, remember that you must have been accepted into a Turkish university.
After this has been settled, you must download the application form and print it out.
Then, fill out the form in block letters, sign it and date it.

- Prepare your Documents
After completing the application form, prepare all the documents stated above.
You should cross-check the documents to ensure that none of these documents is missing.
You can also make photocopies of the original documents if needed.
- Visit the Visa Application Centre
You must book an appointment with the Voya Visa application centre if you would be applying through the Abuja office.
On your scheduled date, visit the visa application centre and submit your documents.
You may be prepared for an interview by the officials.
- Pay your Fees
You can pay your fees at the visa application centre.
Note that the fee covers your visa processing and is non-refundable irrespective of the outcome of your application.
- Collect your Passport
After deciding on your application, you’ll be notified when to collect your passport.
You can collect your passport and other documents at the visa application centre.
Remember that the earliest you can apply for a Turkish student visa is 60 days before you travel to Turkey, and the latest time to apply is 30 days before you travel to Turkey.

There is no specific time for the Turkish student visa processing.
However, you may receive a response in fifteen (15) days or months, depending on various factors.
