The Federal University, Wukari (FUWUKARI), is a federal government-owned university in Wukari, Taraba State, Nigeria.

It was established in 2011 and is one of the 12 new universities established by the Nigerian government to improve access to quality higher education in various parts of the country.

The university has several faculties, including the Faculty of Agriculture, Faculty of Arts, Faculty of Management Sciences, Faculty of Science, and Faculty of Social Sciences.

FUWUKARI Admission Requirements

Here are the general admission requirements for undergraduate programs at the Federal University, Wukari (FUWUKARI):

  1. Minimum Entry Requirements: Prospective students must have a minimum of five credit passes in relevant subjects, including English Language and Mathematics, at the Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSCE) or its equivalent. The SSCE results may be from examinations such as the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE), National Examination Council (NECO), or General Certificate of Education (GCE) O’Level.
  2. UTME: Candidates must participate in the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) conducted by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB). They are required to select FUWUKARI as their first choice institution and meet the minimum UTME cut-off mark specified by the university.
  3. JAMB Subject Combination: During the UTME registration, applicants should ensure they select the correct subject combination for their desired course.
