MTN Nigeria is excited to announce the 2024 edition of its mPulse Spelling Bee Competition, inviting all eligible students to showcase their spelling prowess and compete for amazing prizes.
MTN Nigeria invites all Primary & Secondary school students between 9–15 years old to participate in the MTN mPulse Spelling Bee Competition.
This contest aims to aid Nigerian students in honing their English language and spelling abilities and allow them to win many fantastic prizes.

Competition Stages
The competition will unfold in three exciting stages:
- Online Round One: Open to all eligible students, this initial stage will take place on the MTN mPulse website.
- Online Round Two: The top 1000 scorers from Round One will be invited via email to compete in Round Two, also hosted on the mPulse website.
- Grand Finale: The top 20 performers from Round Two will advance to the grand finale, a physical event where they will battle for the championship title.
Eligibility Criteria
To participate in the MTN mPulse Spelling Bee Competition, students must meet the following requirements:
- Be currently enrolled in a primary or secondary school in Nigeria
- Be between 9 and 15 years old
- Be a resident of Nigeria
Application Procedures
Follow these simple steps to join the competition:
- Visit the MTN website.
- Click the “Click Here To Participate” button on the mPulse Spelling Bee page.
- Register as a student on the platform.
- Sharpen your skills by taking the practice test quiz multiple times.
- Click on “Play Annually” to participate in the official competition rounds.
Please note: The top 20 finalists must be on the MTN mPulse tariff plan to be eligible for prizes.
Prizes
MTN is offering fantastic prizes to the winners, their schools, and teachers:
1st Place:
- Student: ₦5 million scholarship grant, a laptop, a smartphone, and a mPulse goody bag
- School: An ICT lab equipped with 10 laptops and 10 MTN Hynetflex devices
- Teacher: ₦500,000 cash prize
2nd Place:
- Student: ₦2.5 million scholarship grant, a laptop, a smartphone, and a mPulse goody bag
- Teacher: ₦300,000 cash prize
3rd Place:
- Student: ₦1.5 million scholarship grant, a laptop, a smartphone, and an mPulse goody bag
- Teacher: ₦200,000 cash prize
4th – 10th Place Finalists:
- ₦500,000 cash prize each and a mPulse goody bag
11th – 20th Place Finalists:
- ₦200,000 cash prize each and a mPulse goody bag
