Countries You Can Visit With UK Visa on Nigerian Passport

The United Kingdom visa isn’t the hardest to get, but the long wait periods and lack of support may be frustrating.

The United Kingdom does not provide long-term visas like the United States and Canada.

Most visitors to the United Kingdom enter the country on a tourist visa, known as a C-Type visa, which is valid for a maximum of six months. Five to ten-year visas are available, but they are pretty expensive.

There is a lot of work involved in getting a UK visa due to the country’s tight restrictions, but sensible travelers know the hassle is worth it.

If you have a valid UK visa, you can enter England, Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland, as well as certain other cities in Europe and many other places around the globe where you can experience various cultures.

People with a UK visa can go to at least twenty (23) countries without getting a second visa.

Several other nations have made it easier for travelers holding UK visas to enter their territory by providing options like e-visas and visas on arrival.

Let me know in the comment if you have any questions. I will love to assist you.

  1. Thanks for the valid information.
If I am going to Gibraltar from Abuja (with my unused UK visitors visa) and I don’t have the intention of entrying any of the UK cities during this particular trip, can I book two different flights ticket (Abuja to London, and another flight from London to Gibraltar without leaving the UK airport)) ? or I need to book a single flight from Lagos to Gibraltar?

I am asking because a single flight ticket from Lagos to Gibraltar is costlier than booking two flights ticket as expressed.

    I will appreciate your response.

    Thank you

    • Yes, you can book two different flights tickets from Abuja to London, and another flight from London to Gibraltar without leaving the UK airport. You will need to have a valid UK visa in order to do this, but you will not need to enter the UK mainland.

When you arrive in London, you will need to go to the transit area of the airport and stay there until your connecting flight to Gibraltar. You will not be allowed to leave the transit area, and you will not be able to enter the UK mainland.

This is a perfectly legal way to travel from Abuja to Gibraltar, and it can be a great way to save money on your flight tickets. Just make sure that you have a valid UK visa and that you are aware of the rules of the transit area.

Here are some things to keep in mind when booking two separate flights from Abuja to Gibraltar:

      1. Make sure that your connecting flight from London to Gibraltar leaves from the same airport that you arrive at in London.

      2. Allow plenty of time between your arrival in London and your connecting flight to Gibraltar. You will need to go through immigration and security, and you may also need to check in for your connecting flight.

      3. Be aware of the baggage restrictions for your connecting flight. You may not be able to check in your luggage all the way to Gibraltar, and you may need to collect it in London and recheck it for your connecting flight.

      4. Check with your airline to make sure that they allow transit passengers to stay in the transit area. Some airlines only allow transit passengers to stay in the transit area for a certain amount of time.

      I hope this helps!

  2. From your post I need further information about the Mexico. So to travel with my UK BRP as a Nigerian I just need book flight and travel and get my point of entry visa ? Please explain

    Reply
    • As a Nigerian citizen with a valid UK BRP, you do not need to apply for a visa in advance to travel to Mexico.

However, you will need to obtain a tourist card, also known as a Forma Migratoria Múltiple (FMM), upon arrival in Mexico. The FMM is a multiple-entry visa that allows you to stay in Mexico for up to 180 days.

You can obtain the FMM at the airport upon arrival in Mexico. The cost of the FMM is $35 USD. You will need to provide your passport, a recent photograph, and the payment for the FMM.

Once you have obtained the FMM, you will be able to travel freely within Mexico for up to 180 days. You will need to keep the FMM with you at all times while you are in Mexico.

Here are the steps on how to obtain the FMM:

      1. Go to the immigration counter at the airport upon arrival in Mexico.
      2. Provide your passport, a recent photograph, and the payment for the FMM.
      3. Fill out the FMM application form.
      4. Have your fingerprints scanned.
      5. Receive your FMM.

It is important to note that you may be asked to provide additional documentation, such as a letter of invitation or proof of financial support, when you apply for the FMM.

      I hope this helps!
