The Federal University of Lafia wishes to inform the general public and interested applicants that it has commenced sales of application forms for Pre-Degree and Remedial Programmes for the 2023/2024 academic session at the cost of ₦10,000 (Ten Thousand Naira) only.
Entry Requirements
To qualify for admission into:
- Pre-Degree programme in science, a candidate must have at least five(5) O-level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics in not more than two sittings.
- Pre-Degree programme in French, a candidate must have at least five(5) O-level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Literature in English and any two (2) in not more than two sittings.
- Remedial programme in science, a candidate must have at least three(3) Olevel credít passes, which must Include any of the following:
- English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics.
- Remedial programme in French, a candidate must have at least three (3)O’level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, and Literature in English or French.

To become a lecturer in the School of Remedial Studies, Federal University of Lafia, School of Social Sciences, you must meet the following requirements:
1. A PhD degree in a relevant field of study.
2. A Master’s degree in a relevant field of study with a minimum of upper credit.
3. A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field of study with a minimum of second class upper division.
4. At least three (3) years of teaching experience at the university level.
5. A good knowledge of the English language.
6. A good understanding of the Nigerian educational system.
7. The ability to effectively communicate and interact with students.
8. The ability to conduct research and publish in academic journals.
