If yes, you’re perfectly ready for the next registration stage.
After the acceptance fee, what next?
Yes. It’s an Online Clearance. Remember that there will still be physical clearance after resumption at Admission Office, but it’s Online clearance at this stage.
Clearance Documents
Once the acceptance fee is confirmed, your portal automatically opens for clearance. You’ll be required to upload these documents:
- JAMB 003 Form (To be downloaded, printed, filled and uploaded)
- Jamb Admission Letter
- O level Results
- Birth Certificate
- Scratch Card (to confirm your O’level)
- Attestation to Details Given

You’ll be properly guided, given your 100L materials (FOR FREE) and added to the group where you receive daily updates regarding the next steps in your registration.
After clearance, what next?
Yes. That leads us to Matric number allocation and hostel allocation.
With this matric number, you’ll be asked to log in directly on UI Student Portal and transferred from the admissions portal.
You are now a student of UI. Congrats, Man.
UI School Fees Payment
So you’ll make the school payments and registrations through this portal.
Payments to make include;
- School fee payment
- Accommodation fee payment
- Hall dues payment
- Faculty dues payment
- Department dues payment

Registration to do include:
- Medical Registration (Jaja)
- Course Registration
- Faculty Registration
- Departmental Registration

After Clearance Fee Payment & Clearance
Here are the five things you should look forward to.
- Fresh student account creation on the undergraduate portal. This involves the school management will enable the undergraduate portal for fresh students to log in.
- The undergraduate portal would also enable you to pay school and accommodation fees as the school management prescribes.
- The phone number you used for UI POST UTME REGISTRATION should be kept intact in case of emergency information from the admission office regarding the wrong/invalid information supplied during the clearance process and document uploading. This could be an unclear O’level result uploaded or an invalid token/scratch card.
- It is also important to keep the email address you used for UI POST UTME REGISTRATION safe. Information could be sent to you regarding orientation, matriculation, and physical screening exercises.
- Upon successful access to the undergraduate portal, you’ll be required to complete your personal details and addresses, including uploading of passport and signature.

The University of Ibadan (UI) admissions portal is a bit confusing, and it can be difficult to know where to upload all of the required documents.
Here’s what you need to do to upload your documents and check your application status:
1. Go to the UI admissions portal and log in with your username and password.
2. Click on the “My Application” tab.
3. Under the “Documents” section, click on the “Upload Documents” button.
4. Select the documents that you want to upload and click on the “Upload” button.
5. Once you have uploaded all of the required documents, your application status will be updated within 24 hours.
The JAMB form is not required to be uploaded on the UI admissions portal. The JAMB form is only required for the initial application process. Once you have been admitted to UI, you will be required to submit a copy of your JAMB form to the university.

There is no need to panic. It is a general issue.
Here is what you can do;
1. Log out from the portal and log in.
2. Print your admission letter.
If either option does not work, you must exercise more patience.
