Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for admission into the General Nursing Programme of Ahmadu Bello University Teaching Hospital for the 2022/2023 session.
This School of Nursing offers three (3) years of Basic General Nursing training to suitable candidates of not less than 17½ years and not more than 26 years of age.
Those wishing to apply must have a minimum of five credits including English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry & Biology at not more than two Sitting.
Applications for ND General/Basic Nursing have commenced from 1st June 2022 – to 11th July 2022.
Similarly, ABUTH has introduced a One(1) year CHO/HD programme & applications has commenced from 1st June to – 11 July 2022 (CHO/HD is for CHEW holders with health-related Degrees & current practice licenses).
Application Procedures
- Log into www.apply.abuth.gov.ng
- CLICK ON SIGNUP
- CREATE YOUR PROFILE (Always ensure you write down your chosen LogIn ID and PASSWORD as you will need them to log back into the portal)
- Click CHECK FORMS ON SALE or “APPLY HERE” (Make sure you read the program guideline and know the requirements of your proposed program before applying)
- From the list of currently open programmes, choose by Clicking APPLY on the right end
- Click APPLY
- A transaction page will be displayed; Click GENERATE RRR at the bottom left of the page
- A Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR) number will be generated on the page
- NOTE: paying online activates your account immediately.
(I) To pay online (Master/Visa/Internet Banking) CLICK on PayViaREMITA and follow the online guide. (After paying just refresh your page and continue from step-12)
(II) To pay through a Bank Branch, print your Transaction-slip or copy the RRR Number and proceed to any Commercial bank of your choice (Make sure the RRR Number appears on the slip before printing and going to the bank) - After payment come back to the portal www.apply.abuth.gov.ng
- Click on LOGIN and enter the LOGIN ID and PASSWORD you created in step-3
- Fill in all your details according to the Menu (Biodata, contact details, Next of kin, Qualifications(OLevel & ALevel ) and passport Photo
- Click on MY FORMS from your profile menu and select SUBMIT APPLICATION on the right
- Make sure you agree with the terms and conditions by checking the box at the bottom of your submit-form details, then Finally Submit
Note That:
- Documents Upload is NOT required, Simply Make Sure all your information is properly filled in before you finally submit your application
- After submission, from your profile page, go-to MY FORMS and Print your form-slip and Transaction-Slip. You are required to bring them to the entrance exams/interview

Entrance Examination & Interview
Candidates who satisfy the basic entry requirements shall be required to sit for an entrance examination and selection interview thereafter.
Only candidates who pass the examination are shortlisted to appear for the selection interview.
The Selection process will include essay writing followed by an oral interview.
Candidates selected for admission shall be required to pass a medical examination of fitness.
Application Deadline
Applications for ND General/Basic Nursing have commenced from 1st June 2022 – to 11th July 2022.
The application form is six thousand and two hundred naira (₦6,200).
