The following are the importance of the JAMB matriculation CAPS list;
- It is a verification process to ensure that your institution is JAMB accredited.
- The verification process also serves to ensure that your course has the approval of JAMB.
- To check if you qualify for the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) after graduation.
- The online portal checks to determine if your admission is authentic or counterfeit.
Qualification for The JAMB Matriculation List
The following are the criteria to qualify for your name to be on the JAMB matriculation list;
- You must print your admission letter online from the JAMB e-Facility platform.
- Print your original JAMB result slip online from the JAMB e-Facility platform.
- Verify the two documents with the admission officer in your school.
Note that you will not see your name on the list if you do not have the original JAMB admission letter.
How to Check JAMB Matriculation List
Here are the procedures to find out if your name is on the JAMB matriculation list portal;
- Open Google Chrome browser on your phone
- Visit the JAMB Matriculation Portal
- Select your JAMB examination year in the drop-down menu
- Enter your ten (10) digit JAMB registration number
- Click on “Fetch my Details”
- Allow the browser to load to see your personal and admission details.
JAMB Matriculation List
It is the way to know if your name is on the matriculation list.
The official JAMB matriculation list contains the following information with examples;
- Institution: University of Nigeria, Nsukka
- Course: Architecture
- Full name: Blessing Olarewaju
- Admission Status: Congratulations, you are on the Matriculation List
There are categories of students who have problems with their JAMB CAPS.
It is important to note that you will not see your name on the matriculation list if you have a problem with JAMB CAPS. That is, you have not accepted your admission on the JAMB portal.
What you need to do is to visit your school admission office.
You write a letter to your institution registrar.
The response may be to apply for JAMB regularization.
Also, note that you cannot register for the JAMB matriculation list online.

This is very simple na. I can see so many people apart from you have this issue too and the admin is not addressing it properly.
After printing out your admission letter and jamb result slip, you’re not just meant to hold it thinking jamb will update portal for you. You’re meant to take this documents/printouts to your school’s admission office for submission. It’s your school that will help you send it to jamb for review and jamb will make the necessary changes, fullstop.

There’s no cause for alarm if the school itself have given you admission. Sometimes, JAMB may not give you admission even when the school gives you admission.

It is JAMB that is in charge of the JAMB matriculation list.
After admission, your school would forward your details to JAMB for indexing in the list.
