Post UTME Exam Format

Here are the Post UTME formats for Nigerian Universities;

University of Nigeria (UNN)

The University of Nigeria (UNN) Post UTME screening exam is a CBT exam.

UNN Post UTME covers sixty per cent (60%) for your admission to the school. It is why you must study to Pass the UNN Post UTME exam.

Subject Combination

The subject combination for UNN Post UTME is the same as your JAMB. It means that you meet the same exam format in the University of Nigeria Post UTME screening.

For example, let’s say that you are applying to study Medical Laboratory Science at UNN.

Your JAMB subject combination will be Use of English, Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Physics.

It is these subjects you will write in your Post UTME as a student applying to study MLS.

It applies to all the courses at the University of Nigeria.

Post UTME Exam Format

The UNN Post UTME exam format is sixty (60) questions for one (1) hour.

You will answer fifteen (15) questions for each of your subject combinations. That makes it sixty questions in total.

UNN Cut-off Mark

You can calculate your UNN aggregate score by multiplying your JAMB score by 0.6.

Then, multiply your Post UTME score by 0.4.

Add both figures to get your aggregate score.

University of Ibadan (UI)

The University of Ibadan (UI) Post UTME is a multiple-choice question exam.

Many people believe that UI Post UTME is the most difficult of all the Universities in Nigeria.

It is because the exam questions are standard. Also, UI only accepts about three thousand (3,000) applicants every year.

Subject Combination

UI uses JAMB subject combination. It means that you will write the same subjects in your screening exam as your JAMB exams.

For example, let’s say that you are applying to study Electrical Engineering in UI.

Your Post UTME subject combination will be Use of English, Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry.

Post UTME Exam Format

The University of Ibadan (UI) exam format is 100 questions for 1 hour and 30 minutes.

You will answer twenty-five (25) questions for each of your subject combinations.

You must study how to prepare and pass the UI Post UTME exam.

Calculate UI Aggregate Score

Divide your JAMB score by eight (8) and your Post UTME score by 2 to calculate the UI aggregate score.

For example, let’s assume you have a JAMB score of 256 and a Post UTME score of 67.

  • JAMB = 256/8 = 32
  • Post UTME = 67/2 = 33.5
  • Aggregate = 65.5

University of Lagos (UNILAG)

The University of Lagos (UNILAG) is the University of the first choice. The school conduct Post UTME exams for applicants.

UNILAG aspirants take the screening exam online or on the University Campus. It depends on whichever method the school adopt to test students.

Subject Combination

The format for UNILAG Post UTME is English Language, Mathematics and Current affairs.

Post UTME Exam Format

The format for UNILAG Post UTME is 40 questions. You will answer questions in the English Language (20 questions), Mathematics (20 questions) and Current affairs (10 questions) for 30 minutes.

UNILAG Cut-off Mark

UNILAG cut-off mark calculation is by dividing your JAMB score by eight (8) plus the grade of five compulsory O’level grades and your Post UTME score.

  • A1 = 4.0
  • B2 = 3.6
  • B3 = 3.2
  • C4 = 2.8
  • C5 = 2.4
  • C6 = 2.0

JAMB score/8 + Post UTME score + O’level grade score = UNILAG aggregate score

University of Benin (UNIBEN)

The nature of the University of Benin Post UTME is a CBT exam.

UNIBEN Post UTME is a hundred (100) questions for one hour.

The fact about UNIBEN Post UTME is that Use of English cover about 47% of the test.

Other questions will come from your JAMB subject combination.

Calculate UNIBEN Cut-Off Mark

UNIBEN aggregate score calculation is by dividing your JAMB score by eight (8). In addition, divide your JAMB score by two (2).

It will give you a total of a hundred (100).

UNIBEN applicants must score above 50% to qualify for admission.

Rivers State University (RSU)

Rivers State University (RSU) conduct a CBT screening exam for prospective students.

The screening exams take place for about two weeks to accommodate the number of student applicants.

The interesting fact about the Rivers State University Post UTME is that you will see your screening score at the end of your exam.

Subject Combination

The Rivers State University Post UTME format is not exact with your JAMB subject combination. You will write Mathematics, Current Affairs and Quantitative Reasoning in addition to your JAMB subject combination.

For example, a student applying to study Animal and Environmental Biology will write English, Chemistry, Physics, Quantitative or Current Affairs in the screening exam.

Post UTME Exam Format

The Rivers State Post UTME exam format is fifty (50) questions for thirty (30) minutes.

A good tip to pass the RSU Post UTME is to register for the Post UTME late. I mean that you should not rush to apply for the Post UTME.

Register for your Post UTME a few days before the end of the deadline for the application.

Those who register late usually have an edge in terms of the exam format.

RSU Aggregate Score

RSU Post UTME is over 50. Your screening score plus your JAMB score divided by eight (8) will give you your aggregate score.

Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU)

The OAU Post UTME exam format is a computer-based test.

OAU uses JAMB subject combination in her Post UTME screening exam.

It means that you will write the same subject as your JAMB exam.

Post UTME Exam Format

OAU Post UTME exam is hundred (100) questions for one (1) hour fifteen (15) minutes.

Delta State University (DELSU)

Delta State University (DELSU) conduct the Post UTME exam for admission seekers to the school.

DELSU is among the first schools to conduct screening exams. Thanks to their fast academic calendar.

Subject Combination

DELSU Post UTME subject combination is English Language, General Paper and Qualitative Reason.

DELSU Post UTME Exam Format

DELSU Post UTME format is fifty (50) general paper questions, twenty (25) English Language and twenty (25) qualitative reason questions for 1 hour.

Calculate DELSU Aggregate Score

The formula to calculate the DELSU aggregate score is to divide your JAMB cut off mark by 8.

Further, divide your Post UTME score by two (2).

Add the two scores together to get your aggregate score.

University of Port Harcourt (UNIPORT)

UNIPORT Post UTME is a competitive CBT exam for admission seekers.

The exam is a big deal for JAMBites. It is what determines whether you will gain admission to the University of Port Harcourt.

UNIPORT Post UTME exam format is CBT.

You will answer 50 questions for 30 minutes.

The question format is your JAMB subject combination plus mathematics and quantitative reasoning.

Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK)

The format for UNIZIK Post UTME has varied over the years.

UNIZIK uses the O’level grading system or conducts the Post UTME exam.

You will answer your four (4) JAMB combinations in the Post UTME exam.

The duration for the exam is one (1) hour for fifty (50) questions.

Federal University of Technology, Owerri

The format for FUTO Post UTME is your four JAMB subject combination plus Biology.

  • Mathematics
  • English
  • Physics
  • Chemistry
  • Biology

You answer five questions for each of the five subjects.

Each question carries eight (8) marks.

The FUTO Post UTME examination is over 400.

University of Zaria (ABU Zaria)

It is just like preparing for JAMB all over again. But this time smarter kind of way.

The ABU Zaria Post UTME syllabus is the same as the JAMB syllabus.

ABU ZARIA Post UTME format is the same as JAMB.

That is, you will write the same subject combination as your JAMB.

It is 60 questions for one hour and fifteen (15) questions for each of your subject combinations.

Imo State University

IMSU Post UTME format is English, Mathematics and Current Affairs.

Here is the number of questions for each subject;

  • English Language – 20
  • Mathematics – 10
  • Current Affairs – 10

The time for the exam is 30 minutes.

Federal University Lokoja (FULOKOJA)

The FULOKOJA Post UTME exam format is the same as the JAMB subject combination.

It means that you will write the same subject as in your main JAMB exam.

University of Calabar (UNICAL)

The University of Calabar conducts a computer-based test for the screening exam.

UNICAL Post JAMB exam is the same format and subject combination with your JAMB.

You will answer hundred (100) questions for ninety (90) minutes.

The UNICAL aggregate score calculation is by dividing your JAMB score by 8.

Also, divide your Post UTME score by two (2) to get your aggregate score.

For example, if you got 302 in JAMB and a Post UTME score of 76.

  • JAMB = 302/8 = 37.6
  • Post UTME = 75/2 = 38
  • Aggregate Score = 75.5

Federal University Ndufu Alike Ikwo (FUNAI)

FUNAI conduct a CBT exam for her Post UTME screening test.

The FUNAI Post UTME is the same subject combination with your JAMB exam.
