In partnership with UNN-USA, Beta Sigma is giving additional scholarships in 2021/2022.
Beta Sigma is a social, cultural, philanthropic, national and international service organization of undergraduates and graduates of the University of Nigeria dedicated to rendering service to the community and the nation.
It instils in each member self-confidence and respect in himself through his ability in service projects.
At least 4 merit-based scholarships to cover tuition only, plus a stipend (total not to exceed 100,000 Naira) will be awarded to students who demonstrate character, outstanding academic competence and future promise in their respective fields of study.
Other extenuating circumstances, when necessary, may be considered.
To be eligible, students must have completed one full academic year of study at the University with a GPA of 4.0 or higher. Members of Beta Sigma and their relatives are ineligible to apply.
All eligible students are encouraged to apply.
To apply for the scholarship, eligible students must complete and submit the application forms (including a 500-word essay) by October 16th, 2021.
Applications are available online at https://forms.gle/q19JmTt3i1odCZGb6.
Only applications submitted through the online platform will be accepted.
A final interview of all the shortlisted candidates will be conducted by the scholarship committee.
All Beta Sigma scholarships are merit-based. Therefore, strong consideration is given to applicants who exhibit appropriate writing skills. Applicants are urged to pay attention to grammar and content.
