It is necessary to link or update your email address on the JAMB portal to be able to access your JAMB CAPS.
The JAMB CAPS is an online platform that enables you to manage your JAMB profile. You can accept your admission and upload your O’level results plus other functions.
You can use the procedures in this post to link and update your email address to the Joint Admission Matriculation Board (JAMB) database.
This process is done using a USSD code with the phone number that you used for your JAMB registration process.
It will cost you a ₦50 SMS fee to link your email address to your JAMB portal.

- Open the text message app on your phone.
- Type Email your email address e.g. Email [email protected] [email protected]
- Send a text message to 55019 or 66019
- Log in to your email address
- Open the mail sent to you from JAMB
- Access your JAMB profile using the email address and password

Yes, you can print your JAMB result on https://efacility.jamb.gov.ng/CheckUTMEResults
It will cost you the sum of one thousand naira (₦1,000) to print your original JAMB result from the online portal.
You can print your JAMB original result three (3) times on the JAMB online portal. It is better to save your original result as a PDF file on your phone.
Yes, JAMB original result is compulsory for your first year clearance after getting admission to your school of choice. It will be requested by your school’s Faculty clearance admission officer.
Send “PASSWORD email” to 55019. For example, your text message should look like this – Password [email protected]

I see. It seems like you have two JAMB profiles, one with the Gmail address you used last year and another with the Gmail address you used this year. The Gmail address you used this year is not valid, so you cannot access your profile using that email address.
To check your O’level result, you need to login to your JAMB profile using the Gmail address you used last year.

Apparently there was an error in the email used during registration, the email that was supposed to be used was different from what was used, so after discovering that, the email used was now opened newly, so the issue now is that the new email is registered on the jamb profile but it’s not getting response email from jamb as the candidate is not able to login into his jamb profile or reset password as such.

Yes, when I went to cbt centre to link my email as jamb instructed they said it has already being linked since I did jamb last year so jamb linked the same email I used last year for me this year
