This post will show you an easy step-by-step process for creating your JAMB profile code online with your phone using the USSD code.
The 2024 JAMB Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) registration exercise will commence from Monday, January 15, to Friday, February 26, 2024.
Direct Entry registration will commence on Wednesday 28th 2024.
The JAMB 2024 examination will occur from Friday, 19th to Monday 29th April 2024. The mock examination date is 7th March 2024.
The JAMB profile code is a ten (10) unique digit number you must have before registering for the JAMB examination. You will submit this number at the CBT centre for your registration.
Creating a JAMB profile is compulsory for every aspirant. You’d also use the profile login details to access your JAMB CAPS for admission acceptance.
Also, you need to get a National Identification Number (NIN) for your JAMB registration.
It is pretty easy to create your JAMB profile yourself using your phone. You do not need to go to an Internet cafe to do it.

How to Get JAMB Profile Code
The Joint Admission Matriculation Board (JAMB) has introduced the method of getting the JAMB profile code through SMS using the USSD code.
Here is the procedure for how to get your JAMB profile code;
- Open the text message app on your phone.
- Type “NIN,” then space and type your eleven (11) digit NIN number, e.g., NIN 23674325679
- Enter 55019 or 66019
- You will receive your ten (10) digit JAMB profile code.
- Go to a JAMB CBT centre to complete your registration
- Pay ₦4,700 to purchase the JAMB E-pin

You can also get your JAMB profile code by dialling *55019*1*NIN# or *66019*1*NIN# to get your ten (10) digits JAMB profile code.
The JAMB profile creation is fifty Naira (₦50).

You can retrieve your JAMB profile code using the USSD code;
- Open the text message app on your phone
- Enter 55019 or 66019 as the text receiver
- Type RESEND
- Send text message
- You will receive your profile code
The JAMB profile code does not expire.
JAMB Profile Creation Problem
Here are the common problems that you may encounter while trying to create your JAMB profile code;
- NIN has been registered with another number
- Service timeout
- JAMB account creation is not available
- Unable to receive JAMB profile code using USSD
- Generation of the same profile code from last year
- NIN is not verified, or no record is found
- NIN was already registered with the number he used last year
- No record was found. Send an email with NIN and Name to [email protected]. Then try again in 4 hours.
- Unable to verify your NIN at the moment. [nimc: unknown]

Solution for JAMB Profile Code
If you registered for last year’s JAMB, you must generate your JAMB profile code using the same mobile phone number.
You will receive the same JAMB profile code for last year.
Proceed to a JAMB CBT centre to purchase your ePin and complete your registration.

I decided to login to my portal to be check my account.
It requested for my Email and password, which I put but it says invalid.
So under the page, I saw create an account, which I did and follow the procedure, it requested for my name, Email, date of birth, phone number, security question.
Now all this information I dropped is same with my jamb registration I did.
Am scared because I got a 10 digit confirmation code in my Email.
So it show me to enter the confirmation code to proceed the registration. But I stop there.
I don’t expect it, because have registered in CBT CENTRE.
What am trying to do is to login into my account.

The error message you are receiving is not because of the confirmation code from JAMB.
As I stated earlier, there is no cause for alarm.
It could be that the linking of the email addresses has not been activated for this year’s JAMB.
Visit the JAMB CBT centre. Everything would be resolved.

Unfortunately, JAMB is detecting your old name on the NIN database.
You should go back to the NIN registration centre to see how they can help you out.
They told me that there is nothing they can do about it
Go to the JAMB office with your parents.
They should be able to find a solution or better still go on with your registration using the old name.
