Qualifications
Professor
The candidate must have a PhD degree or Fellowship from the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria or its equivalent in a relevant field.
He must have published a minimum of twenty-five (25) Scientific Journal articles.
At least six (6) such journal articles must be in Impact Factor-rated journals.
The candidate must have successfully supervised a minimum of one (1) PhD student and three (3) Masters Students or at least five(5) Masters degree students.
The candidate must have been an Associate Professor (Reader) or a senior lecturer for at least three years in a recognized degree awarding Institution.
Reader/Associate Professor
The candidate must have a PhD degree or Fellowship from the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria or its equivalent in a relevant field.
He must have a minimum of twenty (20) journal articles, at least four (4) of which must be in Impact Factor-rated journals.
The candidate must have been a senior lecturer in a recognized degree awarding Institution and should have successfully supervised not less than two Master’s degree students.
Senior Lecturer
The candidate must possess a PhD degree or Fellowship of the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria or its equivalent in a relevant field from a recognized institution plus five (5) years post-qualification experience in teaching and research in a degree awarding Institution.
The candidate must also have a minimum of six (6) publications in reputable journals, out of which two must be in impact factor journals.
Lecturer I
The candidate must possess a Master’s degree or Fellowship from the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria or its equivalent from a recognized institution in the relevant field plus at least four (4 or 3 years for five-year programmes) years post-qualification teaching and research experience in the case of five year degree programmes.
They must have a minimum of four (4) publications in reputable national and international journals.
Such a candidate should be first named or the corresponding author in not less than two of the journal articles. A PhD degree is an added advantage.
Lecturer II
The candidate must have a second-class honours upper division degree from a recognized University plus a Master’s Degree with a CGPA of at least 4 points on a five-point scale.
In the case of Natural Sciences, the candidate must have at least three (3) years of post-qualification, teaching/research experience in a tertiary Institution (Researchers in National/ Other relevant research Institutes shall be considered), or a PhD from a recognized University.
They must have an NYSC discharge or exemption certificate.
Assistant Lecturer
The candidate must have a second-class honours upper division degree from a recognized University plus a Masters’s Degree with a CGPA of at least 4 points on a five-point scale, plus an NYSC discharge or exemption certificate.

Candidates must possess a good honours degree, not below second class lower division from a recognized University, plus an NYSC Discharge or Exemption Certificate.

Registration with any professional body, such as NIM, IMC, ANUPA, etc., will be an added advantage.

Candidate must be a holder of an Ordinary National Diploma or National Diploma or two (2) Advanced level papers in the relevant field from a recognized institution plus evidence of computer literacy.
Years of cognate experience will be an added advantage.
Higher Executive Officer – CONTISS 07
Candidates must possess five (5) Olevel credits, including English language and Mathematics in WASCE/NECO/NABTEB/GCE plus a minimum of HND/Degree in the relevant filed from recognized institution evidence of NYSC Discharge /Exemption Certificate is compulsory.
Data Processing Assistant – CONTISS 03
Candidates must possess at least five (5) OLevel credits, including English Language plus proficiency in computer literacy.
Motor Driver /Mechanic – CONTISS 03
Candidates must possess a First School Living Certificate plus a valid group E Driving License.
In the case of Mechanic, the candidate should have Trade Test I, II, and III with three (3) years of experience.
Possession of a West African School Certificate or GCE is an added advantage.
Clerical Officer CONTISS 03
Candidates must possess five (5) Olevel credits, including the English Language.
Evidence of computer literacy will be added advantage.
Technologist II – CONTISS 07
Candidate must possess a good HND/B.Sc. in relevant Technology from a recognized Institution, registered with NISLT or another relevant institute, plus NYSC Discharge or Exemption Certificate.
Technologist I – CONTISS 08
Candidate must possess a good HND/B.Sc. in relevant Technology from a recognized Institution plus NYSC discharge or exemption certificate, registered with NISLT/IMLT or other relevant professional bodies, plus a Minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience.

Candidate must possess a good HND/NISLT/B.Sc. in a relevant field or other recognized equivalent qualification, plus a minimum of six (6) years post qualification cognate experience with evidence of practising license from NISLT or other recognized equivalent professional qualification (NISLT).

In addition, it must be registered with the Architecture Regulation Council of Nigeria (ARCON).

Candidate must possess a good honours degree registerable with ARCON, NIA, or a Masters’s Degree in Architecture plus NYSC Discharge or Exemption Certificate.

- SUMAS Computer-Based Recruitment Test for employment into non-teaching positions in the University holds as follows.
Date 1st March 2023
Venue: Nnamdi Azikiwe Library, University of Nigeria, Nsukka.
Time: 9:00 am prompt.
- The test will run in two sections: morning section, 8 am through 12 noon, and afternoon sections, 12 noon through 4 pm.
- Batches A through D will be in the morning section, while batches E through H will be in the afternoon section.
- Applicants are expected to come for the test with a photo paper bearing their recent passport photograph, full names, email, phone number, and position applied in the format bellow
