      • Hello sir, I applied for medicine in unizik in JAMB and I was transferred to human physiology because of low post UTME score and I accepted it.
Can I switch to medicine after my 100 level

        Reply
        • Yes, Godswill

It is possible to switch to Medicine.

Note that there are no guarantees. But, you would stand a good chance if you get a high CGPA above 4.0 in your first year and have the required connections.

Another good option is to sit for another JAMB in your first year.

Sir please I got admission to study physiology in COOU but i want to switch from it to med lab or radiography after my year one is it possible and please what are the requirements and CGPA needed for both radiography and med lab?

    • Favour, it is possible.

You should target a CGPA of over 4.0.

There are no guarantee with Change of Course. The best option is usually to sit for another JAMB.

    • Here are some steps on how you can join Nollywood:

      1. Take acting classes. This is the best way to learn the basics of acting and improve your skills. There are many acting schools and workshops in Nigeria that offer classes for beginners and experienced actors alike.

      2. Go for auditions. This is how you will get your foot in the door and start getting roles. There are always auditions being held for Nollywood movies, so keep an eye out for them.

      3. Build your portfolio. This is a collection of your best acting work, such as short films, stage productions, or even home videos. A strong portfolio will help you get noticed by casting directors.

      4. Network with other actors and filmmakers. This is a great way to learn about upcoming opportunities and make connections that could help you land a role. Attend industry events, join online forums, and reach out to people you admire.

      5. Be patient and persistent. It takes time and effort to become a successful actor. Don’t get discouraged if you don’t get your big break right away. Just keep working hard and eventually you will achieve your dreams.

      • Hello Blessing,

I understand your frustration. It is not ideal to have to wait another year to start university, especially if you have already taken JAMB and scored well. However, there are a few things you can do in your situation.

Talk to your pre-degree adviser at OAU. They may be able to give you more specific advice about your situation.

  9. Good afternoon, how do I graduate with 2.1 with my current cgpa of 3.79 with one carryover in my 300 level first semester exam. I have 3 more semesters and my 300 level second semester is commencing next week Monday and my scores from 100 level has been 3.55 3.91 and now 3.79 please is there chance for me to graduate with a 2.1 ?
    Thank you.

    Reply
    • To graduate with a 2.1 CGPA, you need to maintain an average of 68% throughout your degree. With your current CGPA of 3.79, you are already on track to graduate with a 2.1. However, if you want to improve your chances of getting a first class or second class upper, you will need to score very well in your remaining semesters.

To get a first class, you will need to maintain an average of 70% throughout your degree. This means that you will need to score at least 70% in all of your remaining courses. To get a second class upper, you will need to maintain an average of 65% throughout your degree. This means that you will need to score at least 65% in all of your remaining courses.

You can still upload your O’level result to the JAMB CAPS.

After that doing that, you’d have to notify your university admission office of the change.

You may be directed to the JAMB office for admission regularization.

    • Hello Sharon,

I will write an article on studying in Hungary.

      But in the meantime, you should find the following information helpful;

The specific requirements for Nigerian students to study at a university in Hungary may vary depending on the institution and program of study. However, generally, the following documents and qualifications may be required:

      1. A recognized secondary school leaving certificate or equivalent qualification.
      2. A minimum grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 on a 5.0 scale or equivalent.
      3. Proof of proficiency in English, as most universities in Hungary use English as the language of instruction. This can be demonstrated through standardized tests such as TOEFL or IELTS.
      4. A valid international passport.
      5. Evidence of financial support to cover tuition fees and living expenses while studying in Hungary.

Additionally, students may be required to provide additional documentation, such as academic transcripts, letters of recommendation, and a personal statement. It is essential to check the specific requirements of the university and program of interest before applying.

Let me know if you have any further questions.

Thanks you very much. You write really useful content.

        • Yes, the Direct Short Service (DSS) qualifies individuals as commissioned officers in the Nigerian Armed Forces.

The DSS is a special program designed for individuals with a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field who wish to join the Nigerian Army, Navy, or Air Force as a commissioned officer.

It provides an opportunity for civilians with no prior military experience to serve as officers in the armed forces.

However, candidates must meet other eligibility criteria, such as age, physical fitness, and citizenship requirements, to be considered for the program.
